We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Our security measures include industry-standard practices for protecting information in transit and at rest, user authentication controls, and ongoing efforts to maintain the security and integrity of our Services.

Carehandler retains information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill our contractual obligations with our agency customers.
Because Carehandler is used to maintain care documentation and related operational records, information is generally retained for at least seven (7) years, or for as long as the applicable agency maintains an active Carehandler account, whichever period is longer.

Carehandler does not currently provide a self-service account deletion feature.
Agency administrators may request account closure or request deletion of eligible information by contacting us at:
Individuals whose information is maintained by an agency using Carehandler should generally submit requests regarding access, correction, or deletion of their information directly to that agency.
Upon receiving a request, Carehandler will review it in accordance with applicable law, contractual obligations, Business Associate Agreements, and our data retention requirements.
We will respond to requests within a reasonable period of time.
Some information may not be deleted immediately, or at all, if Carehandler is legally or contractually required to retain the information for regulatory compliance, audit purposes, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.
Closing an account does not automatically result in the immediate deletion of all associated information. Information that must be retained will continue to be stored only for the period described in the Data Retention section of this Privacy Policy.
